Black Cultural Archives hosted a conversation between award winning director Steve McQueen and journalist Nadine Drummond on Thursday 12th November.

McQueen discussed his forthcoming anthology series, Small Axe, which launches on Sunday 15th November on the BBC in the UK and launches on Amazon Prime in the US. The five original films (Mangrove, Lovers Rock, Red, White and Blue, Alex Wheatle and Education) that make up the series are set from the late 1960’s to mid 1980’s and each tell a story involving London’s West Indian community. Actors including Letita Wright, Malachi Kirby, John Boyega star in the series. Watch the interview below
