Dance troupe Diversity, winner of Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) in 2009 gave a special guest performance during the semi finals of BGT. It was inspired by the murder of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter protest. Diversity leader Ashley Banjo, who is standing in a judge for Simon Cowell, was knelt on by a police officer as part of the performance. Ofcom the media regulator received over 20,000 complaints, including that it was racist towards white people and too critical of white police officers.
